Those Trader Joe’s cube ginger & garlic trays? Reuse them and freeze: lemon or lime juice mixed with peel zest, puréed herbs, chopped shallots, compound butters, etc. add a cube or two to a déglacage….

I personally haven’t tried them (yet!), but I saw they’ve gotten some very positive reviews online, so I’m sure they are great to use in a pinch when a recipe calls for minced ginger.
